Timber Wrap| Landfill-Biodegradable – Biowrap NZ
POA
Biowrap Timber Wrap is designed to provide surface protection for timber and framing, helping protect materials from UV exposure, moisture, and other environmental factors during storage and transport.
The wrap can be recycled where appropriate, which is our preferred option, or disposed of in general waste, which typically enters modern landfill systems.
Biowrap products are engineered to biodegrade in modern bioactive landfill environments through microbial processes under anaerobic (low-oxygen) conditions commonly found in active landfill systems.
The technology is designed so the plastic remains stable during normal use, only beginning the biodegradation process once it reaches landfill conditions where microbial activity is present.
According to international laboratory BMP and ASTM D5526 tests, biodegradation behaviour is evaluated under simulated anaerobic landfill conditions, although results may vary depending on landfill environments.
